This triple chocolate cookie recipe is seriously so good. I’ve tested this recipe a few different times and it’s usually a crowd pleaser…especially for my other fellow chocolate lovers out there. The recipe is a little bit on the rich side and the sea salt on top is great. I also learned recently that you should save some chocolate chips on the side so you can add a few extra ones to the top of each cookie after baking to give them more of a “bakery style” look.
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp coarsely ground sea salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 8 milk chocolate dove candies (or 2oz of your preferred chocolate)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1-1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Recipe
- In a medium bowl – whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In a separate bowl – beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Melt the dove chocolate (or whatever chocolate you’re using) and mix it in. Then add in the egg and vanilla.
- Slowly mix in the flour mixture until smooth then stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 24 hours.
- After the dough has been chilled, preheat oven to 350F and line cookie sheets with cookie dough balls. Bake for 12-14 minutes.
- Transfer cookies onto cooling racks after baking and add a few extra chocolate chips to the top of each cookie. Finish cookies by sprinkling a little sea salt on each cookie.
