Triple Chocolate Cookies

This triple chocolate cookie recipe is seriously so good. I’ve tested this recipe a few different times and it’s usually a crowd pleaser…especially for my other fellow chocolate lovers out there. The recipe is a little bit on the rich side and the sea salt on top is great. I also learned recently that you should save some chocolate chips on the side so you can add a few extra ones to the top of each cookie after baking to give them more of a “bakery style” look.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp coarsely ground sea salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 milk chocolate dove candies (or 2oz of your preferred chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1-1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Recipe

  1. In a medium bowl – whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
  2. In a separate bowl – beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Melt the dove chocolate (or whatever chocolate you’re using) and mix it in. Then add in the egg and vanilla.
  3. Slowly mix in the flour mixture until smooth then stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  5. After the dough has been chilled, preheat oven to 350F and line cookie sheets with cookie dough balls. Bake for 12-14 minutes.
  6. Transfer cookies onto cooling racks after baking and add a few extra chocolate chips to the top of each cookie. Finish cookies by sprinkling a little sea salt on each cookie.
